Hope all of you had a good pongal festival. I did have a very good pongal festival. Pongal is always special to me for two reasons first is because it’s pongal and second it’s my son's birthday. I did not have time to post the pongal pictures since I was busy with festival preparations and celebrations in the month of January along with other activities. Now I had time to come up with the pongal post :):):). Enjoy the visual pongal treat.

ReplyDeleteHi Anni, Wish you a very Happy pongal. Lovely pictures! So, you also got inspired by Nithya's pongal pictures eh??? Looks similar. Very nice!!

ReplyDeletelovely post pavi ,nice clicks:)
@Anuradha Pongal is traditionally done in decorated clay pots for ages, your sister Nithya did not invent it. I got my inspiration from the tradition. To get a feel of tradition, look at my post to understand my real inspiration http://www.dishesfrommykitchen.com/2012/01/happy-pongal-to-all-of-you.html

Thanks odhina for replying. I dint mean that Nithya invented it and I know that its the tradition to do in clay pots. It is just that the look and feel of the image with miniature pots and kolam reminded me of her picture. Thats it. It was just a simple comment. You dont have to take it offensive. Still your pictures are very nice.
ReplyDelete@Anuradha I did not take it offensive :) Tradition cannot be changed and everyone has to do it the same way with decorated pots and Kolam. Thanks for your appreciation of my pictures.
